TCANC Tamil School, the first Tamil school in North Carolina to be affiliated with the California Tamil Academy, is a weekend language school operated with a mission to encourage kids learn to Tamil, one of the longest surviving classical languages in the world.

Students of this school learn to converse, read, understand and write in Tamil. The school is staffed by dedicated parent volunteers and alumni students.

Class levels: Preschool, Kindergarten, Advanced Kindergarten, Grade 1,  Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5 and Grade 6.

This year we are starting a new Conversation class “Learn to Speak inTamil” for rising 9th to 12th graders, intended for kids that already understand Tamil to some extent but want to speak fluently.

We are happy to announce that the Accrediting Commission for Schools of Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC ACS) has approved the accreditation of all of California Tamil Academy’s schools, including our TCA Tamil School. We are actively working with WCPSS to get Tamil language Credits for Tamil in High School transcripts. Please contact the Principal for details.
